Elder Donald Tolbert is the pastor of the Church of The Living God in Alton. He is a devoted and committed man of God, a man that knows and accepts that the work of a pastor is challenging. His goals are to be the best pastor he can be and to be a dedicated, humble servant of God and to God's people. He has faithfully served in prison ministries, nursing home ministries, and homeless ministries for several years. He has also participated with the Mission Gate ministry for several years. Pastor Donald is an active member of the IC Men's Ministry and Circle of Remembrance. He is best known for his humor and his passion for people, especially children, the elderly and the broken in spirit. He has a genuine love for the church. He believes every member has a job to do in the church. He firmly believes in studying, understanding, and teaching the word of God.
